Three BU respresenatives were invited to attend a roundtable discussion at the House of Lords.
BU graduates Natalie Edwards and Tony Wayne, and Master's student Will Brentnall all link to the university’s Disaster Management Centre and were invited to a meeting of the National Resilience Committee on Thursday 4 June.

The three BU students were invited in recognition of their expertise, insight, and commitment to the field of disaster management and resilience. Their participation provided an important opportunity to contribute to national conversations on how the UK can strengthen its preparedness for future challenges and emergencies.
Speaking of the visit, Professor Lee Miles, Professor of Crisis and Disaster Management at Bournemouth University, said, “This invitation reflects the high calibre of our students and the vital role that the next generation of resilience professionals can play in shaping policy and practice. We are incredibly proud to see them representing Bournemouth University and contributing their knowledge to such an important discussion.”
