Support from CareersBU doesn’t end when you graduate – in fact we offer lifetime support. Whether you are still living in the local area or have moved away, we’re here to help – whether that’s with finding a first graduate job, considering your options or changing career.

MyCareerHub access

You can continue to access MyCareerHub as a BU graduate and all the online tools and resources that the system has to offer including:

  • The latest graduate job vacancies
  • Careers Consultant appointments
  • CareersBU webinars (and recording of past sessions)
  • Career assessment tools
  • CV and job application tools and resources.

Your BU email account is still active for three years from when your course ended, and so you can continue to access MyCareerHub with your BU username and password just as you were doing as a current student.

If you have any issues with logging onto the system with your BU credentials then please contact the IT Service Desk online or call 01202 965515 or freephone 0808 196 2332. You can also try the following:

Careers support beyond three years

While MyCareerHub is only available to recent graduates (up to three years from when your course ends), you can still access lifetime careers support for free from our Careers Consultants. Just email [email protected] to request either a face to face, virtual or telephone appointment.

Join the BU alumni community

As a BU graduate you are joining an alumni community of more than 80,000 people located across more than 150 countries around the world. Membership of the alumni association is free, but to stay connected and receive information about events, offers, news and awards, you will need to register. Update your details via the online form and find out more about alumni volunteering, support and events via the website.

Alumni Future Series - a collaboration between SUBU and BU to help final-year students make a smooth transition from studying to employment - or whatever comes next. Hear from alumni and BU staff for tips and advice on your next steps after graduation.

Tell us where you are now

The Graduate Outcomes survey is a national survey to understand where graduates’ degrees have led them. You will be contacted 15 months after you have graduated to find out what you’re doing. The survey is led by an external organisation, but we will get in touch with you nearer the time to ask you to update your contact details. Find out more here.

Additionally, CareersBU are always keen to speak with BU graduates who would like to share their experience with current students. This could mean speaking at a panel event or masterclass, featuring in a case study, or advertising opportunities with your current employer. To get in touch contact us at [email protected].
