Introduction

The use of your information and the impact on your privacy is protected by the law.  There are rules about the use of your personal data (information relating to you as an identifiable individual), set out in the data protection legislation (GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).  There are additional rules about the use of data technology used on websites, such as cookies, which are set out in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.

This notice explains how we comply with these rules in relation to your use of the BU website.

It explains the different types of cookie we use on our website, so that you can understand the choices you are making when you give or refuse consent to the use of cookies through the cookie tool on our website.

It also gives brief information about how we manage any personal information you provide to us through the website, for example through filling in a form or making an on-line application.

This Notice applies to anyone who uses the BU website.
