The helpline is available for free 24-hours a day and provides a confidential mental health support for any students impacted by events in the Middle East.
It can be difficult to process the images we are seeing from the region and hearing news about the escalating conflict in the Middle East. And for those with family and friends in the region, it is even harder. These are traumatic and distressing times, compounded by growing concerns around faith-based hate incidents towards both the Jewish and Muslim communities.
That’s why Health Assured has set up a dedicated university helpline, in partnership with Endsleigh, to support anyone who is struggling with their mental health as a result of ongoing conflict.

Have you been targeted by, or witnessed, any faith-based hate?
If you have witnessed or experienced any harassment or discrimination you can report it (with an anonymous option) via our BU reporting webpage. In addition, our Faith and Reflection team works to support students and staff of all faiths and none.
Other organisations you may wish to contact include either CST, a charity that protects the Jewish community from antisemitism, and MAMA, an independent support service for those who face anti-Muslim hatred and prejudice.
