Welcome to the start of a new academic year. Over the summer we have been busy preparing for the start of term and wanted to provide you with some essential information and reminders about updates that have taken place over the summer.
Reminder: Returning students - update your student ID card
To make sure you can access buildings across campus, please update your student ID card. Just tap your card on any of the on campus card readers until the light turns green — and you're good to go!
Reminder: Please don't set up auto-forwarding from your BU email to a personal account
If auto-forwarding is enabled, all messages will be blocked. This isn’t allowed due to security and compliance risks. BU emails may contain sensitive information and forwarding them bypasses BU’s protections. It could lead to data breaches or violate regulations like GDPR. We're working on a clearer notification system, but for now, you won’t receive any alerts when this happens.
