Sorting your maintenance issues

Got a maintenance issue?

Each student residence has its own process for reporting maintenance faults, cleaning or other issues (including pest control) and you will find an overview for each accommodation below.

Which accommodation is your maintenance issue related to?

St John's Road and Unilet

These properties are managed by BU, you can report any problems via the accommodation portal, please complete all sections as fully as possible with contact details and one of our team will be in touch about getting things sorted.

If the matter is an emergency and cannot wait, such as a flood, please report as follows:

  • For emergencies during office hours report direct to a member of Residential Services team in person at Melbury House, BH8 8ES or by phone on 01202 961671.
  • For emergencies out of office hours, please contact the 24/7 BU reception, Poole House, Talbot Campus on 01202 965001

Once reported a member of the team will be in touch to let you know when we can attend and how long it should take for us to resolve the problem for you. 

Student Village

You should report any maintenance issues by emailing: studentvillageteam@bournemouth.ac.uk.

If the matter is an emergency and cannot wait, such as a flood, please contact 24/7 BU Reception, Poole House on 01202 965001 

Chesil House, Lyme Regis House, Cranborne House and Okeford House

These properties are managed by Campus Living Villages who have their own on site maintenance teams. You can report issues at the main reception desks or by using the following contact details:

Once reported a member of the CLV team will be in touch to let you know when they can attend and how long it should take for them to resolve the problem for you. 

Purbeck House

This property is managed by Unite Students who have an onsite maintenance team.

You can report maintenance problems at reception, by downloading an app for your phone that allows you to log maintenance reports or you can report the issue through the Unite website

Once reported a member of the Unite team will be in touch to let you know when they can attend and how long it should take for them to resolve the problem for you. 

Dorchester House

This property is managed by iQ Student Accommodation, who have a maintenance crew based onsite at Dorchester House.

You should report any maintenance problems to reception or by emailing dorchesterhouse@iqstudent.com

Once reported a member of the iQ team will be in touch to let you know when they can attend and how long it should take for them to resolve the problem for you. 

Corfe House

These properties are managed by Student Roost, who have a maintenance crew based onsite at Corfe House. 

You should report any maintenance problems to reception or by emailing corfehouse@studentroost.ac.uk or by calling 01202 649670

Once reported a member of the Student Roost team will be in touch to let you know when they can attend and how long it should take for them to resolve the problem for you. 

Bailey Point

These property is managed by The Student Housing Co., who have a maintenance crew based onsite at Bailey point. 

You should report any maintenance problems to reception or by emailing baileypoint@thestudenthousingcompany.com or by calling 01202 941 315

Once reported a member of The Student Housing Co. team will be in touch to let you know when they can attend and how long it should take for them to resolve the problem for you. 

Private rented (non-BU)

You should report any maintenance issues to your landlord (if you are in direct contact with them) or your letting agent, who will arrange for the necessary repairs to be carried out.
