Due to the current situation with Covid-19, to control the number of students arriving at any given time our timeslots for arrivals this year are being spread across a longer period of time (from 12th to 20th September). We are taking this approach to closely control numbers and help with the safety of all students and staff.
Only students who have booked a specific date and time from the available timeslots, via the BU online induction, will be able to collect their key and move-in.
We are also saying that each student can only bring one additional person to help them move in.
We appreciate that this might cause some inconvenience for you and we apologise for this. However, if you do not see an available timeslot that works for you we ask that you make the necessary personal arrangements to work with us to keep everyone safe and choose an alternative timeslot from what is available.
If you do not choose an available timeslot please do not just then turn up when you want, this will put the safety of you and others at risk and you might also be turned away. If you really think you cannot arrive during any of the remaining timeslots, you will need to contact your local accommodation team direct to see if they can allow an arrival outside of the standard arrival times, i.e. after 6pm. This will be at the discretion of the local accommodation team and if they are unable to accommodate this then you will have to make other arrangements to arrive during an available slot.

We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause you but we trust you understand that the reason we are taking this approach is to try and keep you and other students and staff safe during this difficult time.

We look forward to welcoming you to your new accommodation soon.
