Lauren and Rupert on their wedding dayDr Lauren Cope completed her PhD at BU in 2019. She said: “I met my now husband on our first day at Bournemouth University at the SciTech postgraduate researcher inductions in 2015. I was starting my PhD in palaeoecology (in AAFS) and he was starting his research masters in environmental law (in LES). We got to know each other over the years together at Bournemouth, moved in together in 2016 and got a puppy.
In 2017 we bought our first house together...and got another dog. In 2021 we got married (postponed from 2020 due to covid-19) and are now expecting our first baby.”
