Covid-19 vaccination

All people aged 16 and over can now get both of their Covid-19 jabs to protect them from the virus (and children aged 12 to 15 will be able to receive one dose). You can book an appointment through the NHS vaccination centre or use a walk-in centre without an appointment.

Whether you are returning to BU this September to continue your studies or are joining us for the first time, we strongly urge you to take part in the vaccination programme and get both your jabs. This is the best way that you can keep yourself and those around you as safe as possible. As you arrive and settle into your new households with new or existing friends, vaccination can help you to avoid catching the virus or needing to self-isolate, which can mean you can’t attend teaching sessions on campus or a night out with your mates.

If you are unsure whether to get the vaccine, here’s some information to help you make your decision.
