Covid-19 vaccination

We would encourage all members of the BU community to consider getting the vaccine when offered, to help us maintain face-to-face teaching and normal activities on campus. Please consider getting your doses, including boosters, which are open to every adult over the age of 18, who has had a second dose of a Covid vaccine at least three months ago. You will be able to book your booster through the national NHS booking system.

More information about vaccinations, including how to book, can be found on the NHS website. If you are in a patient-facing role on one of our Health and Social Sciences courses, you may find that you are eligible for your booster vaccination at an earlier date, with more information on the website

Ensuring you are fully vaccinated is the best way that you can keep yourself and those around you as safe as possible. As you continue with your time at BU, vaccination can help you to avoid catching the virus or needing to self-isolate, which can mean you can’t attend teaching sessions on campus or a night out with your mates.

If you are unsure whether to get the vaccine, here’s some information to help you make your decision.
