As a Nutritionist, Ellie trains staff on Food Information Regulations and allergen safety, as well as teaching children aged 4 to 17 about nutrition and healthy living using materials developed from evidence-based research.

Ellie’s focus is to make information accessible for healthcare professionals, families, teachers and children alike, and she has become skilled in creating, editing and posting on Chartwells' social media platform 'The Super Yummy Kitchen'.

Her role involves translating complex nutritional information into easily understandable pieces suitable for all readers, opening the door for educated choices and improved health outcomes. Ellie also oversees allergen management across 200 schools.

Ellie says: “BU instilled in me the importance of a reliable source in my professional practice, which has supported my reliability and responsibility in the field. BU also taught me not to settle for the current or past and to constantly stay up to date.”

What their colleagues say

If I was to describe Ellie in three words it would be driven, passionate and dedicated. She has grown from a budding young graduate, into a thriving, incredibly hard-working nutrition professional, who now has confidence and experience to fend for herself, challenge upwards, make key business decisions and take on tasks and projects outside her comfort zone. What makes Ellie special, and worthy of this award, is that her passion for nutrition and enthusiasm shines through in every piece of work she produces. For someone so early in their career, I’m blown away by the quality of her work and dedication to her job."
