Initially joining 1000heads, a social media transformation agency, as an intern, Katie swiftly climbed the ranks to Insight Manager, managing the progression and workload of two team members.

Katie had the responsibility of regularly reporting on social media performance across platforms including Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest for household names such as The North Face and Wella, both key clients to the agency. Katie has now secured a new role at Mindshare, a media and marketing agency. Remaining within the data department, her new Data Strategy and Insight Manager role presents opportunities to explore primary-audience research and thought-leadership articles, tackling issues to overcome societal stigmas.

Behavioural economics has also played a pivotal role in aiding her understanding of how campaigns can influence consumer behaviour, which she has applied to client work in the B2B, B2C and charity sectors.

Katie says: “My degree built an understanding of how marketing has the power to advocate for inclusivity, which is an important value I've woven into the narrative of strategic work and which has inspired the development and deployment of the Representation Framework, used agency-wide to ensure clients utilise their social platforms for positive change and representation.”
