Bournemouth University

School of Applied Sciences

Welcome to the School of Applied Sciences where our mission is to provide a science and research based education in a range of natural and physical sciences.

Our status is defined by our internationally recognised, policy-relevant research in such areas as conservation ecology, archaeology, anthropology and forensic science. Located on the edge of the Jurassic Coast within easy reach of the New Forest and the historic landscapes of Wessex, fieldwork lies at the core of much of what we do. Student-focused and interdisciplinary in nature, we provide a range of unique educational opportunities that lead to a range of science-based careers.
