Programme and pre-conference events

CHME 2018 Research Conference, 22–25 May 2018

While the full conference programme is taking shape and we are currently inviting contributions across our main themes and sub-themes, this provisional programme provides an outline of the agenda for the Council for Hospitality Management Education Research Conference 2018. We will continue to update this page and our draft programme (pdf, 8.6mb) as the timetable for the conference and its social programme continue to develop. 

Tuesday 22 May 2018 – pre-conference day

As part of the programme for the day, we have organised a Research Publication Retreat, with ‘Publish high impact papers’ and ‘Meet the editor’ sessions. This will start at 14:00 and be chaired by Professors Adele Ladkin and Adam Blake of Bournemouth University. Wednesday 23 May 2018 – Hospitality Strategies 2030

CHME will be supported by eight leading journals in hospitality and tourism. Following on from the Research Publication Retreat, ‘Meet the Editor and Publish high impact papers’ on Tuesday 22 May, the publications’ Editors will be around and will participate in the ‘Knowledge co-creation, REF2021 and publications’ panel on Friday 25 May. This will be chaired by Professor Adam Blake, who is responsible for the REF submission for Tourism and Hospitality for Bournemouth University.
